What Will Sponsorship Do For You?
Model United Nations is a debate program for students in high school and middle school to discuss and learn more about different countries relate to worldwide issues. Royal Oak Model United Nations is an extracurricular team that has earned a state, national, and now international reputation. Model United Nations, now one of the most popular forms of debate in the world, is also one of the most academically challenging. In it, students:
  1. Improve skills in public speaking, research, critical thinking, and debate
  2. Improve understanding of global issues and the complexity of the international system
  3. Become more educated in geography, international law, and economics
  4. Learn the basics of diplomacy: compromise, caucusing, and consensus-building
  5. Learn both cooperation and leadership
  6. Learn the United Nations structure and aims

​Your support of Royal Oak Model United Nations will be of direct educational benefit to students. In addition, the type of sponsorship you create may be defined as you wish, from a year of publication of your support up to special programs our students will create for your group. We have some ideas for you! We would love to hear yours! 

How is the Money Spent?

All money is spent to support students who wish to attend conferences. This might include transportation, lodging, registration, or food. Future monies might also be placed in special scholarship funds for special events. Budgets would be made available to interested parties.

ROMUN Donation Benefits

We provide benefits to all of our sponsors in correspondence to the amount of the donation, or what it equals to if it is a non-cash donation. The benefits are as follows:
  • Friend ($5 or more) - Listed as a friend to ROMUN in our e-newsletter, our web page, and in conferences and other programs for events, and an invitation to our annual events and banquet
  • Sponsor ($25 or more) - The benefits of the 'Friend' level, one complimentary banquet ticket, and a business card-sized ad in programs
  • Patron ($50 or more) - The benefits of the 'Sponsor' level, two complimentary banquet tickets, an individualized story on social media, and a framed certificate indicating the patron's support for education and Royal Oak Model United Nations
  • Ambassador ($100 or more) - The benefits of the 'Patron' level, four complimentary banquet tickets, and a page-length ad in programs and an individualized post on social media
