To join, print a copy of our application to complete and return it to any advisor, or complete the online application below and submit it.  Hard copy (um, paper!) of the application is available from Mr. Chisnell (ROHS Room 105) or Mr. Snyder (ROHS Room 222).

 Print your own copy! (.doc)

On your own paper, please provide the following information:
Name, Phone Number, Email, Grade in 2008-2009, Approx. Cumulative GPA

---

Please complete all parts of the application:

Part 1.  Congratulations! The United Nations has just recognized a new country, (your name here)-topia!  Develop a policy for your country addressing one of the following:

·         Nuclear Non-Proliferation

·         AIDS in Africa

·         Climate Change

Include what your nation believes about the issue, what action your country would like to see taken, what other nations would agree with you (based on their policy) and what nations would disagree. Be sure to use examples from international precedents and to thoroughly support your country’s policy and your opinion. Make sure your response is double spaced, 1 ½ - 2 pages typed.

(Please remember, these issues are serious! Answers like “We want to send everybody with AIDS to the moon…” will be disregarded.)

Part 2.  What will you bring to Model UN?

Tell us why we want you! You can express this in any way you want. Consider a video, photo essay, song, or written essay.

Part 3.  Gather the brief (2-3 setences) recommendations of four non-family adults who are familiar with you motivation and ability.
